Pavel Dudin

Vostok/Oriens '2014, №2

The article describes the process of state development in Inner Mongolia after the Mengjiang liquidation and political activity of the man whose name was associated with the independence movement in Inner Mongolia for many years, De Wang (Demchugdonrub). Being the president of Mengjiang at first and of Alashan Republic in 1949, he tried to realize the dream of the Mongolian people independence but in fact he just proved to be a executor of somebody else’s plans. The paper offers characteristics of the Alashan state that in 1949 had a claim on the leadership in the world among Mongolian peoples.
