Alexander Salitsky , Elisaveta Alekseeva

Vostok/Oriens '2017, №2

Developed agriculture is a prerequisite for sustainable country development. In Asian countries, the modernization of agriculture has usually taken its place much later than industrialization, and even developing of their own scientific base. Nature, social and demographic problems are the main challenges for agricultural development. One of the unexpected ways to find solution to the problems is widespread introduction of agricultural robots. Such introductions are capable to increase the accuracy of farming operations and reduce labor costs. Automation of agriculture is also caused by a massive outflow of labour to the cities, ecological problems, low food quality etc. At the same time, this is a great opportunity to boost Chinese research and development capabilities. Robotics and automation are widely used in industry, and the state government of PRC stimulates their developments in order to increase Chinese economy competitiveness.
