<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The Palestinian-Israeli conflict affects many aspects of the world order, including the situation in the global energy market. The article examines how regional confrontation can change the situation at the oil market. Particular attention is paid to the role of Iran in the development of the conflict and how further actions of the parties may affect oil prices. At the moment, it is obvious that neither regional countries nor major world powers are ready to enter into a conflict on one side or another. As for measures of economic influence on the warring parties and their allies, they were not recognized as effective. Iran&amp;apos;s proposal to impose an oil embargo on the USA and European countries was ultimately rejected. It could seriously undermine the well-being of those who decided on it and their business partners, including China. Another danger of the oil market destabilization comes from the complex factor of Iran potentially entering the war with Israel and the USA. So far, Iranians and Americans are strenuously avoiding this scenario. Tehran acts through its proxies and attacks American bases by prior agreement with the enemy. Washington also follows the rules of the game. In a negative scenario, the Strait of Hormuz could be blocked and all supplies from the Persian Gulf would stop, and in the event of attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure, up to two million barrels of oil per day could leave the market. However, no one is interested in these prospects, so markets generally react calmly to the Middle Eastern conflict.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Иран</kwd><kwd>Ормузский пролив</kwd><kwd>хуситы</kwd><kwd>палестино-израильский конфликт</kwd><kwd>нефтяное эмбарго</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Iran</kwd><kwd>Strait of Hormuz</kwd><kwd>Houthis</kwd><kwd>Palestinian-Israeli conflict</kwd><kwd>oil embargo.</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front></article>
