Эта организация планировалась с участием и даже под эгидой Британской Индии. Такое объединение должно было защищать право народов на самоопределение, обеспечение их экономических, геополитических и социальных интересов.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In the period of the struggle for national sovereignty the Indian National Congress took on the task of working out the foreign policy principles of a future sovereign India, including the formation of an international organization of colonial and dependent countries of Asia and Africa. A desire for such a information was reflected in the political works and statements of the chief leaders of the Congress - Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. In the process of determining the participants of the first Asian conference in Delhi in April 1947 it was decided that &amp;quot;all Asian countries&amp;quot; could take part in it and also Egypt. Observers, too, were invited, including Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, the USA and the USSR. The inter-Asian conference was taking place in the conditions of a complicated situation both in India and in the world. The participants of the conference had a number of sharp contradictions, however, Jawaharlal Nehru and his colleagues were firmly against discussing the questions of policy, defense, territorial belonging in Delhi. The First inter-Asian conference in Delhi had become the prototype and predecessor of the conferences in Bandung in 1955 and in Belgrade, which had established the Non-Aligned Movement of the states of Asia, Africa and Latin America in 1962.</p></trans-abstract></article-meta></front></article>
