Аннотация
В историографии до сих пор спорным считается вопрос о том, как имя бога Се-раписа, культ которого, согласно некоторым источникам (Плутарх, Тацит), а также данным археологии, возник только во время правления Птолемея I, преемника Александра Македонского, появилось в одной из версий "Романа об Александре". Одни исследователи склоняются к предположению о том, что события "Романа об Александре" вымышленные, а значит, не следует говорить о том, что культ Сераписа мог существовать уже во времена правления Александра. Другие, хотя их и меньшинство, склоняются к мысли о том, что именно великий полководец ввел в практику культ этого божества. С наибольшей вероятностью можно считать, что правы первые. Однако не стоит полностью пренебрегать информацией, содержащейся в "Романе об Александре", так как хотя в нем, возможно, много вымышленного, но тем не менее он отражает представления широких слоев населения того времени о функциях Сераписа, отождествлении его с другими богами и свидетельствует о роли, которую его культ играл в конце эллинистического периода и в римское время.
Abstract
It is till now considered to be debatable in historiography how the name of god Serapis, the appearance of whose cult scientists refer only to the time of the rule of Ptolemy I, a successor of Alexander of Macedon, appeared in one of the versions of "A novel about Alexander". Some researchers consider that the events described in this work are mostly fictions, and therefore there is no reason to say that the cult of Serapis could have existed already in Alexander's time. Others, although they are a minority, are inclined to think that it was exactly the great military leader who had introduced the cult of this deity. It seems more probable that the former are right. However, one should not completely ignore the information in "A novel about Alexander", because although much is fictitious in it, nevertheless it reflects the ideas of the vast masses of the population of that time about the functions of Separis, about identifying him with other goods, and also it indicates the role which his cult played at the end of the Hellenistic period and the Roman time.
