OSOBENNOSTI MODERNIZACII IRANA PRI REZA-ShAXE PEXLEVI
Аннотация
Имя Реза-шаха Пехлеви, монарха Ирана (1925-1941), незаслуженно забыто отечественными историками. Безусловно, этого государственного деятеля нельзя поставить в один ряд с такими великими реформаторами прошлого, как Петр I или Наполеон Бонапарт. Однако именно реформы Реза-шаха в первой половине ХХ в. привели к изменению многих сторон жизни иранцев, и только его на протяжении нескольких десятилетий называли в Иране не иначе как "великий".
Abstract
The name of Reza-shah Pekhlevi is almost forgotten by this country's historians. However, the reforms carried out in the first half of the XX century have led to the change of many aspects of Iranians' life. The Nazi Germany, which had its purposes concerning Iran in its geostrategic plans, had played an important role in the modernization of the country. By supplying modern equipment it took an active part in modernizing Iran. The latter in its turn hoped to lean on Germany as a "third force", capable to weaken the positions of Great Britain and the USSR in the country. With the help of the Germans the shah had modernized the transport system and organized air communication. The modernization involved the reorganization of the armed forces with the help of German specialists. The third Reich also took an active part in the development of a new education system in Iran. The reforms carried out by Reza-shah were stopped in August 1941 when the British and Soviet troops entered Iran's territory, and the shah abdicated. It would be appropriate to remind that not only Reza-shah Pekhlevi could not see the threat to mankind from the Nazi Germany at the right time.
