<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>In 2015, the Russian Archaeological Mission of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences discovered in Giza Necropolis a black-glazed echinus-type bowl decorated with stamped palmettes. The find was made during the excavations of the rock-cut tomb of the official Nesemnau, who lived in the second half of the 3rd millennium B.C. The bowl was not the original grave-goods of the Egyptian Old Kingdom, but has a much later dating and demonstrates similarities with black-glazed Attic tableware of the 5th–4th centuries B.C., however, it was made using completely different ceramic technologies. It can also be stated that the stamped decor has pronounced stylistic differences from classical Hellenic designs. Having summarized the available information about the features of Greek black-glazed pottery and the facts of the discovery of ceramics with stamped palmettes in Egypt, it can be assumed that echinus-bowl from Giza was a local imitation of Attic tableware. The main center for the manufacture of such ware in Egypt in 3rd–2nd centuries B.C. was the city of Buto in the northeastern Nile Delta. Products from this workshop were also found in other Egyptian sites. All this testifies dynamic trade relations within Egypt during the Ptolemaic Period, shows the regular tendency of Ptolemaic nobility to use Greek-looking objects in everyday life, as well as the appeal of Egyptian artisans to Greek samples, expressed in copying objects of the material culture of the Hellenic world. All these phenomena accelerated entering of Egypt into the Hellenistic oecumene, making it an actor in economic and political processes in the Mediterranean region in the last centuries of the 1st millennium B.C.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Египет</kwd><kwd>Гиза</kwd><kwd>Птолемеевский период</kwd><kwd>Буто</kwd><kwd>Аттика</kwd><kwd>чернолаковая керамика</kwd><kwd>штампы-пальметты</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Egypt</kwd><kwd>Giza Necropolis</kwd><kwd>Ptolemaic Period</kwd><kwd>Buto</kwd><kwd>Attica</kwd><kwd>black-glazed pottery</kwd><kwd>palmettes</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front></article>
