Аннотация
Своеобразие и уникальность кряшен заключаются в сочетании православной религии с татарским языком, характерным для их культурного облика. Можно сказать, что кряшены являются своего рода связующим звеном между русско-православным и тюрко-мусульманским миром, Европой и Востоком. Подобная дихотомия во многом определила специфику этноконфессиональной идентичности представителей кряшенского народа, который нередко рассматривается и как часть "татарского суперэтноса", и как особая этническая общность.
Abstract
The traditional beliefs of christened people are the subject of the article; those of a special ethnic and religious Turkic speaking group, whose memebrs live mainly in the Republic of Tatarstan. At the same time it should be noted that many specialists consider such christened persons to be a special people having orthodox religion. It seems that the adoption of Orthodox Christianity by the ancestors of christened people in the XVI-XVIII centuries has had a strong infl uence on their formation. At the same time the pagan beliefs continued to play a great role in their spiritual life, but the infl uence of Islam was as a rule very superfi cial. Their own peculiarities of religious traditions were typical of different ethnograpfi c groups of the christened ones, which was determined by different histories of formation of these groups and the time of the adoption of orthodoxy by them. The folk beliefs of the neighbouring ethnic groups had a strong infl uence: those of Chuvashes, Russians, the Tatars of Kazan, Mishars. The author also analyzes the infl uence of world religions (Christianity, Islam) on the general system of the corresponding views of christened people and their ethnic and religions identity and its further change towards the Newest time.
