В статье на основе дипломатической переписки между госдепартаментом США и правительством Турции относительно отправки турецкого контингента на Корейский полуостров для участия в боевых действиях на стороне войск ООН прослеживается связь этого решения турецкого правительства и его намерением добиться членства в НАТО.
Abstract
On the basis of the diplomatic correspondence between the USA State Department and Turkey's government concerning the sending of a Turkish contingent to the Korean Peninsula for participation in the military operations on the side of the United Command of the United Nations the author of the article traces the link between this decision of the Turkish government and its intention to obtain the NATO membership.
