<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article demonstrates that the main theme of investigated utterances (connected with the rite of Unas’ wondering in the Otherworld) is one of the most ancient versions of the mythical rivalry between Horus and Seth for the king&amp;apos;s throne. The most problematical for an interpretation of this theme is PT 255. At the beginning of this utterance (Pyr. 296–297) there is a demand from a deity whose “essence is ugly, whose form is ugly” to go away from his throne (lit. seat – st) and to give his dignity (saH) for Unas. But at the end of the utterance (Pyr. 300) the Great (Wr) gives his dignity for Unas. This Wr is definitely a Sun God and the ugly god has certain features of Seth. I don’t see any contradiction in this utterance between an appeal to one god and reciprocal action of the other one. – The throne as a symbol of power and the king’s dignity belong  to every god of Atum&amp;apos;s Ennead since this Ennead was taken by the Egyptians as a single whole – Xt (lit. body). Being on the Horus&amp;apos; throne at the same time Unas was a heir of Osiris, Geb, Shu and Lord of All Atum (Rēʻ). As soon as Unas had succeded to Atum in his struggle against Seth and his supporters he won the right for immortality and possession of Otherworld. He took this right thanks to Horus&amp;apos; great power with whom Unas was identified and because of justice of his demands following the principles of world order – Maat.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>Египет Древнего царства</kwd><kwd>Тексты Пирамид</kwd><kwd>речения 254–257</kwd><kwd>260</kwd><kwd>Унас</kwd><kwd>соперничество Хора и Сета</kwd><kwd>престол Атума (Ра).</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>Egypt of the Old Kingdom</kwd><kwd>the Pyramid texts</kwd><kwd>Utterances 254–257</kwd><kwd>260</kwd><kwd>Unas</kwd><kwd>the rivalry between Horus and Seth</kwd><kwd>the Atum&amp;apos</kwd><kwd>s (Rēʻ) throne.</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front></article>
