Christianity at the Beginning of the 21st Century in Africa to the South of Sahara: Quantitative and Qualitative Characteristics

The article examines quantitative and qualitative characteristics of contemporary Christianity in to the south of Sahara. On the basis of the analysis of statistical data conclusions about growth of number of adherents of Christianity in the region countries are provided. The paper analyses changes in methods of activities of leading Christian faiths during the post-colonial era. It shows qualitative parts of Christian religiosity, religious dualism, and syncretism in the African Christianity.
