The Future of Agriculture in the Countries of Asia and Africa: A Forecast to 2050

Vostok/Oriens '2015, №6

At the global and regional levels agricultural production in the next 35 years will be enough not only to feed the entire population of such challenging region like Asia but also to ensure higher standards of food consumption. Therefore, the problem of hunger will be determined mainly by the food distribution system which directly depends on the income distribution. This is not the case in Africa (South of Sahara). In the region current social, technological and economic organization of agriculture leads to an absolute shortage of food. Solving of the food problem in the coming years lays in the international food interventions (on a paid or voluntary basis) or the creation of fundamentally new agricultural technologies and new organizational structures
