Place and role of Egypt and Algeria in Russia’s foreign economic policy

The aim of the article is to analyze the current state of Russia's economic ties with Egypt and Algeria, to determine the importance of economic cooperation with these countries for the economy of Russia, to develop recommendations on strengthening cooperation between Russia and these states. The author offers an analysis of trade, economic and investment ties of Russia with Egypt and Algeria. Russian cooperation with these countries has intensified in recent years. There is a significant potential for developing business ties with Egyptian and Algerian partners. Relevant proposals and recommendations have been worked out. In particular, the author proposes to assist Egypt and Algeria in a deeper integration into the international economic community, to eliminate and avoid various mutual trade restrictions, to provide Russian investors with guarantees from local authorities, to consolidate efforts of Russian business circles, to enable Russian small and medium businesses to cooperate with large businesses, to continue the localization of Russian technologies, primarily in Egypt, to study the possibility of exporting Russian education and medical services via Internet.
