The Future of Oriental Studies depends on its Past: A Vladivostok Viewpoint

The article is devoted to current problems of Russian Oriental Studies. It continues the discussion started in the first issue of “The Orient” (2015). Based on the past experience, the author analyzes the issues associated with University education in Vladivostok, and proposes ways of development.
