A Note on the Dual Structure of Power of Turkic Khaganate

The author researches the source data on the origin of the ancient Turkic dual structure of power. There are two versions of its origin among historians. The first consider this phenomenon as the political institute of a minor khagan (Chin. xiao ke-han) described in the Chinese sources. The second version hypothesizes that the origin of dual structure of power lies in the dual organization of marriage relations of ancient Turks. But both versions seem ungrounded.
