Bourguiba and Bourguibism

Habib Bourguiba (1903–2000) was one of the most prominent political figures in the Arab world in the twentieth century. The article focuses on his political biography and activities. Today, in the era of globalization, when the life of the world is becoming increasingly complex and interconnected, it is necessary to take into account the historical and political experience of the East to the same extent as that of the West. In this context, the phenomenon of Habib Bourguiba, who became the first president of Tunisia and held the post for over 30 years, seems interesting, original, realistic and useful.
